Powerful Pills And The Wisdom Tooth Experience
Well Friday February 2, 2006 was the big day. I was going into oral surgery for a quadruple extrication of my wisdom teeth. As the opinions of my peers pertaining to the post surgery recover were very different, I had no idea what to expect, other than "The red pills sure are fun!" from my sister Bethany. So we got to the office at about 7 a.m. on Friday. I met a nice lady with a name I don't remember, maybe Lauren? We chatted for a while as I was slowly being lured to a state of complete confusion.
My main concern was the IV. However, I had been on the laughing gas for about 5 minutes when the Dr. strapped my arm up much like one does when shooting Heroin (or so I assume - I've never tried that before). He tapped the inside of my arm and the IV was less painful than a shot. Let me tell you about the IV...
There are basically three ways to get drugs into one's body. Through the lungs, by swallowing, and direct injection through an intravenous. The IV is the fastest means of inducing whatever the patient is to be receiving as it goes directly through the body. So the good doctor game me some sort of opium extract -- bless his heart.
I don't remember much leaving the office, or that strawberry milkshake that I practically chugged from Sonic, or arriving home. I do remember taking my first "Red pill of Joy" and how the aching in my mouth seemed to succumb to the great powers of the red pill. I woke up around 3 and was muy perezoso en la casa (very lazy at the house). I woke up Saturday and lounged around some more.
This whole Wisdom Tooth Experience was a rather enjoyable one. I experienced something I had never experienced before: Being high. Those "Red Pills of Joy" do sure know how to make a brother feel good. Thanks for reading, and until next time - hasta luego!

I've always felt privileged to not have undergone oral surgery of this kind, but now I just feel left out. You make it seem so glamorous. I should see if I can find a dentist to recommend my own extraction surgery.

I don't think so Levi, you get high off of night time cold medicine. Glad that your surgery went well Ben, and glad that you got to experience one of the best of Bethany's memories. hehe.

I had just one wisdom tooth out a few years ago and now I've decided that it's best to get all four extracted at the same time. I didn't get any red pills!
