Hardcore: Volume III
RockeTown was especially crowded on Friday, December 16 as Underoath, one of my favorite hardcore/screamo bands, headlined an all charity benefit concert. The other bands playing were As Cities Burn, The Chariot and mewithoutyou. I didn't know the other bands all that well and when you are waiting for the last band to play (simply because you know their music) then it can get to be a little nerve racking. We arrived at RockeTown at about 5:30 when doors opened, and we waited until 7:30 for the show. The show was packed let me tell you. It had sold out two weeks before the event -- and with good reason. Underoath put on a phenominal show, one that I won't quickly forget. As you can see from the picture, that is the lead guitarist for Underoath, James. I talked to him after the show and even got his pick which was pretty neat! If you'd like a taste of Underoath here's a music video: www.videocodezone.com/videos/u/underoath/reinventing_your_exit.html .

Hey I liked the video, I wish I could understand the words of the song! lol
Maybe it's a generational thing. Glad you had a good time and hopefully someone who needed to hear the truth about Jesus heard it at the concert

Ben-
Wasn't that a great concert? I had a great time. I'm definitely NOT going to Indy.

OK, well, um, glad you enjoy this music....I guess. Important to have good times with your friends, and make new ones....and I'm glad they inspire you to work on your guitar skills. But I'm still not convinced about the new hairstyle...:-)
