The Score That Matters

At right is probably the symbol of the largest and most important test any high school student can take. If you still aren't certain what that test is - the ACT. The actual words beneath the acronym are irrelevant, but the object of all our toil, the very test that will either liberate us or entangle us into the Community College scene is this test. With all the blabber over with, I just wanted to let all my loving readers that I did rather well on the ACT that I took in October.

I scored a 30 (with a 36 being a perfect score). To be completey honest, I was a little shocked, in a humble way of course. My personal goal was a 28, so I guess I went a little above and beyond with my expectations; nothing wrong with that!

So anyways, I suppose that's a rather optomistic score considering I'm only a junior and have Mrs. Edwards to look forward to on getting a higher score in English and Reading (I got a 34 and 31, respectively), Miss Robertson to help me bring up that 29 in Math, and I'll have to not drink two 16 oz. energy drinks next time to achieve a higher score on the Science Reasoning (My lowest score by far at a 24 - It was the same as Buffy's though :P)

For all of you young high school readers out there, I would encourage you to take an ACT prep course. I am fairly sure those two points had to do a little with the ACT Prep class offered at our school. Posted by Picasa

Way to go on the ACT chappy!
By the way, you can turn on word recognition to stop the comment spam problem. I know it's a little disappointing to have your only comments be ads.

Congrats on the ACT score. That should take some of the pressure off, knowing that you have a great score already. I know you would be eligible right now for a full ride to Union already. Of course the higher the score gets the less you are going to have to pay for college! I agree about those test prep courses. For some reason I was picked to be one of the people to take a prep class in 7th grade (why I'll never know) and when I went to take the ACT I made a higher score as a 7th grader than my sister did as a Senior in High School. Of course I don't think I told her that....unless she made me mad!! LOL
Hope you had a good weekend!
