Hardcore: Volume III

RockeTown was especially crowded on Friday, December 16 as Underoath, one of my favorite hardcore/screamo bands, headlined an all charity benefit concert. The other bands playing were As Cities Burn, The Chariot and mewithoutyou. I didn't know the other bands all that well and when you are waiting for the last band to play (simply because you know their music) then it can get to be a little nerve racking.

We arrived at RockeTown at about 5:30 when doors opened, and we waited until 7:30 for the show. The show was packed let me tell you. It had sold out two weeks before the event -- and with good reason. Underoath put on a phenominal show, one that I won't quickly forget. As you can see from the picture, that is the lead guitarist for Underoath, James. I talked to him after the show and even got his pick which was pretty neat! If you'd like a taste of Underoath here's a music video: www.videocodezone.com/videos/u/underoath/reinventing_your_exit.html .
